It appears I was the second reviewer on Amazon, so I thought I’d share my review here on the good dr.’s site….enjoy!
This review is from: Integrative Wellness Rules: A Simple Guide to Healthy Living (Hardcover)
Let me begin by saying that I’m a follower, of the teachings of Andrew Weil, and have been for the last decade. I imagine this book was recommended for me based on my past purchases. Now, as a long time vegan and ” naturalist” I’m always open to learning more and more about the anti- imfammatory diet, however, I purchased this book more for guidance on how to make certain changes and be my best in life. After reading this book, I feel I have some tools. I’ m not on the same page as the author for certain things ( I.e. He says something to the effect of ” Everything happens for a reason” and is a bit more religious than I), however, my journey through this book has made me feel empowered to slowly but surely make certain changes. In addition to the stellar content of this book, another wonderful treat is the delivery of the information. Dr. Jim ( if I may call him that!) seems like a sensitive and caring soul who aims to be his best for himself, his family, his clients, etc. I particularly enjoyed being taken through his day ( which is quite active!). I found him to be inspiring and well intentioned without being over the top. He was reminding me of my husband as I was reading! Speaking of which, I hope he will read this book as well. I believe most folks can gain something by reading “Integrative Wellness Rules” In closing, I’d like to say that if I ever have the cash to spend a few days at Miraval, I’d be appreciative for the chance to meet with Dr. Nickolai. I wish him continued success in his writing endeavors.

    • Thanks so much, Natalie. And you’re right, regardless of our differences or beliefs all of us can certainly make quick and dirty changes that move us toward better health. That’s what the book is all about. I’m glad you liked it.
